  • 2 ¼ cup all-purpose flour, divided
  • ½ cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 2 teaspoons orange marmalade
  • ⅓ cup fresh orange juice
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • Topping:
  • ½ cup all-purpose
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons orange marmalade
  • 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted, softened

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour and confectioners’ sugar. Using a fork, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Press mixture into bottom of 13×9 inch baking dish. Bake 20 minutes or until lightly brown around edges.
  3. In medium bowl, whisk sugar, eggs, zest, orange marmalade, and juice together until mixed. Add ¼ cup of flour and baking powder. Stir until combined.
  4. Pour into hot baked crust and bake for 25 minutes or until filling is set.
  5. Topping: Whisk together flour and sugar. Using a fork, cut in butter and marmalade until mixture is crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle on top of baked orange bars. Let cool before cutting into bars
